Airstream Life iPad Edition Frequently-Asked Questions

Q:  Does the iPad edition also work on iPhone?
No, this app is specifically designed for iPad only.  It’s hard to navigate and read Airstream Life on a phone, so right now we aren’t supporting phones.

Q:  How do I renew my iPad subscription ?
The subscription renews automatically every year, and is charged to your iTunes account. If you want to stop it from automatically renewing, read this document from Apple.

Q:  How do I cancel my iPad subscription ?
You can do this on your iPad or on your computer.  (We can’t do it for you.) See this Apple document for full instructions on how to cancel your iPad app subscription to Airstream Life.

Q:  Some issues look a little different.  Why?
Some issues from 2004, 2005, and 2006 were recovered from scans of the printed magazine.  As a result, you may notice slight shading differences, or places where the pages don’t align perfectly in the two-page view.

Q:  How much data am I using when downloading an issue?  Is there a way to speed it up?
Issues range in size from 10 mb to 90 mb.  Most of them are about 13-15 mb.  It’s always fastest to download issues on wi-fi, instead of using your cellular data connection.

Q:  How much memory on my iPad will Airstream Life issues use?
Because new issues come out quarterly, the amount of data needed to store Airstream Life on your iPad changes over time.  35 issues will take about 1.0 gb of memory in total.

 Q:  I want to free up some memory on my iPad.  How do I remove an issue?
You can easily remove any issue by tapping the (i) icon next to the cover image.  Choose “Remove Issue from iPad” to delete it.

Q:  Can I restore issues that I got for free and later deleted?
Yes, just click the “Subscription” button in the app, and log in again with your email address and zip code.  Any issues you are due to receive for free should become available for download again.

Q: How do I restore issues that I paid for and later deleted?
If you originally paid for an issue, you can download it again at any time at no charge by clicking the “Subscription button” and choosing “Restore Purchases”. If this doesn’t work, try deleting the app entirely, re-installing it, and then restoring your purchases.

Q:  Can I put my Airstream Life magazines on more than one iPad?
You can download paid issues to any Apple iPad that you have registered to the same iTunes account (Apple ID).  Free issues can be downloaded to a maximum of four devices.

Q:  Can I print a page from the iPad?
Sorry, we don’t support that feature at this time.
